The purpose of the course is to contribute to the understanding of Project Management principles and concepts and how they are applied in the management, organization and planning of a technical project. The theoretical part of the course aims at analyzing and describing the principles of project management, as well as describing the basic management methodologies and their rational planning and evaluation.
Moreover, methodologies for programming and financial planning of technical projects, which aim to organize and manage the projects in various ways in a rational way, achieving optimum time, cost and quality of construction, are described.
In the part of the exercises, representative examples of projects are selected and the methodologies taught in the theoretical part are applied.
In exercises and applications, problems with real data and sizes are chosen (as close to reality as possible), so as students to become familiar with the practice and to gain a sense of characteristics of technical projects.
