In the context of territorial development where distinctness adopted as the basis of competition, the aim of identification, enhancement and activation of local specific resources is the central objective of a local development process. In this context, the main purpose of the course is to present a comprehensive methodology that valorized local resources integrated in territorial approach of development as well as the mainstream of the planning and implementation of the diagnosis. The proposed methodology includes three main sessions: the sources, the methods and the tools. It aims to contribute to a) the detection and enhancement of resources and b) an assessment of resources. The course’s challenge is to enhance the capacity of students to combine and effectively use qualitative and quantitative methods with technical high-tech tools.
