The main objectives of the course are:
– The view of real estate as an individual and social good, factor of production and object of investment
– Understanding the role of the real estate market in the regulation and the development of urban and suburban space, within the framework of the formal and informal institutions that govern
– The spatial dimensions of the relationship between macro and micro economic factors with the financial system
– Understanding the role of real estate in the production systems in relation to regional and local development policies
– Real estate management issues both in the private and the public sectors
The general skills students acquire are:
– Ability to deal with real estate issues
– Ability to perceive the general environment in which he will be professionally activated
– Ability to select and apply the most appropriate methods and related methodology to solve a specific problem
– Ability to work in an international environment.
Real estate issues are at the intersection of private and social interest, and at the core of complex spatial, economic and social transformations taking place in Greece and other countries. The purpose of this course in Real Estate Management is to understand the complex relationships linking real estate to space, society, economy, financial system and globalized economy, through theoretical approaches and case study presentations.
