I have been an Assistant Professor since June 2014 in the field of “Planning and Environment Law”. My research interests focus on the relationship of law with space and the environment, law tools of spatial and environmental planning, legislative policies of spatial planning, urban planning and the environment and the relation these policies have with the concept of justice. I have also been responsible for the academic coordination between the Department of Planning & Regional Development (PRD, UTH) with the Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale, in the framework of the “Erasmus Plus” programme that targets in the mobility of professors and students, and the organization of conferences and events, as well. At the same time, I have been providing legal services for many years in the fields of national administrative law, EU law, before national and European courts for cases concerning development, spatial planning, urban planning and environmental protection. I also provide legal advisory and broader advisory services to Government Administration, Local Government Organizations, Businesses, Research Centres, Individuals, etc.

1988-Today: Freelance legal advisor providing services in the fields of national administrative law, Community law, before the competent national and European courts in matters of development, spatial planning, urban planning and civil law [e.g. indicative differences and issues related to: (a) public and private works of all kinds (water supply, hydroelectricity, road construction, industrial areas, ports, airports, wind parks, etc.); (b) the establishment of protected natural areas and ecosystems (national parks, wetlands, forests and forest areas, etc.); (c) the legality of spatial planning and planning legal instruments (specific spatial frameworks, regional spatial frameworks, regulatory plans, local spatial plans, urban planning implementation plans, building permits, etc.); (d) waste management and all types of waste (location of waste management and disposal facilities, biological plants); (e) the legitimacy of Management Acts of great spatial importance (approvals of Areas of Organized Tourism Development, Areas of Specially Regulated Planning; (f) the legally secure investment plans that have major spatial effects from environmental, spatial and urban planning and perspective, etc.
