Panayotis Pantazis is a Planning and Regional Development Engineer (BA, M.Sc., PhD). He is a graduate of the Department of Planning and Regional Development of the University of Thessaly (1995), holds a MSc from the same Department (2011) and a Ph.D on Economic and Regional Development from Dept. of Economic and Regional Development, Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences (2023). He is a Laboratory Teaching Staff (EDIP) on Spatial and Urban Planning at the Department of Planning and Regional Development, University of Thessaly. He is affiliated with the Research Unit Environment and Spatial Planning (ESPL) at University of Thessaly. He is also a Trainer at the National Center of Public Administration and Local Government. His scientific interests focus on methods of cartographic representation in the environment of Geographic Information Systems, quantitative methods of analysis with emphasis on spatial statistics and econometrics and the standardization of statistical and geospatial data for digital and printed publications. He has participated in many European and national (Greek) research projects, and he has published several research articles in various journals, collective volumes, and conference proceedings.
